This semiannual journal, Aggregate, encapsulates local culture, international perspectives, and diverse viewpoints, reflecting the academic spirit of the Taichung Art Museum (TcAM). As TcAM’s first academic journal, it aims to be a key platform for exploring art and cultural topics, enabling a broader audience to understand the dynamics and ideas of contemporary art. Aggregate also shares the museum’s research results and promotes exchange among diverse artistic ideas and viewpoints. The journal includes feature articles, observation notes, exhibitions on paper, and special programs. Rooted in Greater Taichung’s rich cultural heritage, it regularly invites art critics and scholars to observe and analyze various domestic and international cases. Additionally, it includes research on artists in central Taiwan, museum exhibitions, and updates on numerous projects, guiding readers to explore and comprehend the development of the local art scene.

Through cross-disciplinary collaboration, the articles examine how knowledge—when generated through dialogue and encounter—can expand forms of inclusivity, mutual understanding, and ecological awareness.
