Taichung Central Park
- Spanning approximately 67.34 hectares, the Taichung Central Park, along with the Shuinan Economic and Trade Park, is known as the “lung of Taichung.” This expansive park is distinguished by three guiding principles: “smart,” “low carbon,” and “innovation.” Unique to this park is its globally distinctive twelve sensory-inspired interactive facility, which sets it apart from typical parks. The vast grounds, adorned with numerous green plants, boast landscapes of varied styles, featuring 106 tree species and more than 11,938 trees, 83% of which are native. This richly diverse urban oasis serves as an ideal habitat for wildlife. In the morning, citizens can jog along the undulating paths; in the afternoon, visitors can take a leisurely walk under the shade of the trees; at dusk, the self-experience zone at the park’s highest point offers a mesmerizing view of the sunset; and at night, there are great opportunities to explore the ecology illuminated by scattered lights. The park is ready for your visit.

Taichung Aerodrome Gun Tower
Built in 1940 by the Japanese military to meet the armament needs of the former Japanese Taichung Airfield (now Shuinan Airport), the firepower network was designed to control the open plains east of the airfield. This structure is known as a machine gun bunker, often referred to as the “machine gun fort.” It features a conical concrete form with a base diameter of approximately 10 meters and a height ranging from 6 to 9 meters, along with several rectangular windows on the walls.
