A Little Visitor: Wander Around the Museum｜Horizon Ablaze

Come wander through the art museum with us!

Let’s practice being little visitors together. You’ll discover that there are many different ways to understand an exhibition!

This year, Taichung Art Museum is launching a special exhibition-based program with children as the main participants. We have invited Carp Gallery to design a sensory-rich guided tour experience.

During the guided tour, we will explore different ways of looking, making, listening, playing, and learning. Children will view the world through color glasses, experience the artists’ creative methods through rush-weaving, and feel the sensation of heat with hand warmers. Through questions, hands-on activities, and observation, participants will discover and experience the artistic perspectives presented in the exhibition “Horizon Ablaze.”

Together, we will discover the relationship between “heat” and our everyday lives through the exhibition. There will also be special “side quests” waiting to be solved!

An exhibition can be even more fun than you imagine. Hehe—this is not your usual museum stroll!

Fee｜NT$300 per person, including admission to the “Horizon Ablaze” exhibition. Payment will be collected at check-in.

Notes｜

1. Parents or accompanying adults who wish to enter the exhibition galleries must purchase a ticket at the Information Desk on the 1st floor of the Green Museumbrary lobby. The guided tour is designed primarily for registered children. Accompanying adults are welcome to observe from the back of the tour group, allowing children space for independent learning and exploration.
2. Admission to the “Horizon Ablaze” exhibition: General admission NT$100; Taichung residents NT$50; free admission for visitors aged 65 and above.
3. Check-in before the activity and pick-up after the activity will both take place at the B2 Workshop.
4. The Chinese and English sessions will be conducted in the respective languages, including the guided tour and interactive discussion.
5. By participating in this event, participants agree to grant the Taichung Art Museum permission to photograph, film, edit, use, and publicly display their images, voice, and spoken content. All images and recordings produced during the event may be used and published by the museum in whole or in part, without further notice or consent.
